About the drives
Fun drives are just that – a chance to get out on the Hill Country roads with your British Classic. We have a number of drives available, ranging from 1 to 2 hours round trip. If you get there early on Friday; after the show Saturday; or even before going home Sunday – take advantage of these drives.
We are pleased to announce a guided drive.
The Route takes about two hours:
Leaving from Cadillac Dance Hall. From there, we’ll hop on 281 North for just a moment before turning left onto Park Road 4. This road is a real treat, full of satisfying curves and elevation changes as it hugs the edges of Inks Lake.
Once you’ve navigated through the park, the road will take you to Highway 29. We’ll head west (turn left) and pass south of Lake Buchanan, then take a right onto 269. After a few miles, we’ll make a planned stop at Llano County Park. This is a perfect spot to park, stretch your legs, take in the stunning views of water and hills, and snap some photos of your car against the backdrop. Restrooms are available, and we’ll spend about 20 minutes here.
After the break, we’ll continue towards Llano and then head south on Highway 16. After a few relaxing miles, we’ll turn left onto Willow City Loop. This loop is a driver’s dream, with scenic views, twists and turns, and maybe even a cow or two along the way—perfect for a leisurely British convoy. The loop ends at Willow City, which is so tiny you might miss it if you blink!
From there, we’ll head east on 1323 and take a left onto Althaus-Davis Road. This hidden gem of a road will lead us through more beautiful scenery, eventually taking us north to Highway 71 and through Horseshoe Bay. We’ll intercept Highway 281, which will bring us back to Dos Conchas Ranch.
