Funkhana

For sheer excitement and laughter, you can’t beat the Funkana. This is a low speed, high hilarity driving event that everyone can enjoy…participants and onlookers. Don’t miss this opprotunity for lots of fun and frolic!

Autocross

"DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!" at the AUTOCROSS. We have a large area to run in and expect this to be one of the fastest as well as most challenging courses you've ever run. So bring on the smack talk and show you can back it up. All cars will be tech inspected the day before to allow for more track time the day of the event. Loaner helmets will be available. The AUTOCROSS is being held AFTER the Concours d'Elegance, so come on out and get your car dirty again!

Bluebonnet Drive

Wild flowers abound in this neck of the woods! Come and see the best and brightest on the Bluebonnet run. We have searched the world over to find this amazing collection of Bluebonnets, Indian Blankets, wine cups and the like and they are all nearby and available for viewing from the comfort of your own Triumph. This Gimmick Rally counts as a driving event.

Stone Mountain Slalom

What would the hill country be without hills? For your amusement, we have located the biggest hill in Texas and have set up a slalom course on it! Come and see what happens when Triumphs defy gravity. Expect to see firsthand, competition at its best. Cars will be teched at the site prior to running.

Breakfast Run

How about a drive through some picturesque hill country before breakfast? That’s only one part of the Breakfast Runs we’ll be having. The rest of the story is an excellent breakfast at the River City Grille overlooking Lake Marble Falls. Triumphs driven in the morning, good friends to share it with, and a hill country breakfast. Wonderful! Driving directions will be provided on Thursday and Friday morning so that you and a dozen or so of your closest friends can start the day with a pleasant drive and a hearty meal. This will count as a driving event!

Texas BBQ Rally

Are you a good driver? Can you follow simple directions? Is mild better than spicy? Is it any of our business? The answers to these and other questions will be revealed after you have run the Texas Barbeque Rally! Not only is the Hill Country famous for twisty roads and wildflowers, first rate BBQ joints are around every corner. The rally route will take you past a few of these great spots and time will be allotted to enjoy a meal at one of them. This is a time, speed, distance (TSD) rally; bring your own clipboard.

Car Wash

Our carwash will be available to help you get the Texas Dust off of those beautiful cars you are bringing. We will have car soap, sponges, paper towels, etc. available. Most of you will want to bring your own preparations, but we will have some basic items at the car wash for your convenience.

Concours

Concours d'Elegance started way back in the 1600s when French aristocracy paraded their horse drawn carriages in the parks of Paris in the summer. Since there is no Triumph breed of horses and Triumph did not make carriages, we will include only Triumph cars in our Concours. Many beautiful Triumphs will be shown at the Concours. This is certainly an event you should not miss!

The Concours Judging will be via VTR rules.  Not all the classes will be provided since our Regional will not have enough cars in one class or another.  Be aware that if no car in a particular class makes the required number of points for a particular award (e.g., 1st place requires at least 350 points), then no award will be given.  The participant VTR Concours Rules can be seen by clicking here.

Awards Banquet

The Awards Banquet will be the highlight of the Regional. We’ll have time to get the last word in over a beer or a glass of wine, then move to a wonderful dinner in preparation for our 2009 Regional Awards. It will be a great time to get together and your last chance at the last word of the evening as you pick up your awards. Be prepared!

The Awards Banquet will start with beer, wine, chips, and salsa at 6:00 PM. Then we’ll have a Texas Style buffet with a choice of Pork Chops and Chicken as the main course, vegetable choices, and finishes with a dessert you’ll love, served promptly at 7:00 PM. Then we start your awards ceremony with the Hill Country Staff bringing you commentary on each event, as they hand out beautiful awards for your extraordinary efforts in events ranging from the Funkhana, to Hill Climb Slalom, to Concours, and Autocross, ending when you are finished.
